Artist & Director Rebecca Hengstenberg obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Arts- Directing Emphasis with a minor in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point. At this institution Rebecca received invaluable liberal arts training in virtually all aspects of theater production. Not only was her production of Keely and Du the first ever student directed full length to be produced in the newly renovated, state of the art studio facility, but it was also taken on a well received tour of Wisconsin campuses. Rebecca was awarded consecutive scholarship directing prizes for her work on Keely and Du and Jason Robert Brown's Songs For A New World. Before heading to NYC, Rebecca teamed up with NEW STage writer/producer Kyle Bostian to direct the innovative production of C.J. Hopkin's Horse Country.
NYC Credits Include: Calculating Route (At Hand Theatre Company), A Fresh Start, and Conversation With A Kleagle. Twice she's had the privilege of directing One Act plays written by the talented Brian Dykstra: SNAFU (The Drilling Co) and Wired (At Hand Theatre Company).
In February 2010 Rebecca directed the wildly intelligent The Last Days of Judas Iscariot by Stephen Adly Guirgis. Following a successful three week run in, she fulfilled a guest director residency position at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska heading the college's innovative production of Godspell.

(Soho Playhouse NYC), The Girls In Their Hitler T-Shirts (Kraine Theatre NYC), 100 Saints You Should Know (Shell Theatre NYC), The Fourth Estate (CherryPit Theatre NYC), Lola-Lola (The Living Theatre NYC), and FP Seeks VD (Dixon Place Theatre NYC).
